FWC will be performing songs by Australian composers, Paul Jarman, Lyn Williams, Dan Walker, Paul Stanhope, Joseph Twist, Carl Vine, Cold Chisel's Steve Prestwich and Don Walker, Phil Bartlett and David N Childs (NZ)
Cyndy Moody is a Noongar woman from Perth and her tribe is Whadjak, Balladong, Yeud. She is a singer/ songwriter and wrote the lyrics to the two songs she'll sing with the choir. In September 2021 she won song of the year at the Western Australian Music Awards under the Country category. Her song Ngany Koorlangka (My Kid) is from the Ngaalang Moort Album produced by Community Arts Network in 2020. Her award-winning songs are played on many Aboriginal radio stations and are a part of Indigitube First Sounds Volume 6 album, along with other indigenous artists.
Phil Bartlett is a Noongar man who has been playing and performing music for over 30 years. He enjoys the art of song writing and composed the music to the two songs Cyndy Moody will perform with the choir. Phil is currently recording an album and working with Community Arts Network on the Lullaby’s project as a musician and songwriter.
